Labor Market Tightening: Rise in Unemployment
Russia's labor market is showing signs of increasing complexity: the number of job seekers looking for work for more than a year has grown by almost one and a half times. The share of such workers reached 13.3%, compared to 9.7% a year ago.
The average duration of job search has also increased. For women, this indicator stands at 5.6 months, while for men it is 4.4 months.
The situation is exacerbated by company closures and declining demand for labor. A growing gap is emerging between the skills specialists possess and employer requirements.
