Justin Sun on the Quantum Threat to BTC

TRON blockchain founder Justin Sun shared his market forecasts for cryptocurrencies, technologies, and macroeconomics in a recent interview.

Justin Sun has adopted a bearish strategy for Bitcoin. The main reasons are the threat of quantum computing (Q-Day) and artificial intelligence breakthroughs in mathematics. In his view, Satoshi Shimoda's wallets are vulnerable even to classical hacking algorithms without waiting for fully functional quantum computers.

Over more than 15 years since the network's inception, a significant amount of lost coins has accumulated that could return to circulation. An output of 1 to 2 million BTC onto the market is expected.

The investor revealed details of his actions with other assets. He sold 80–90% of his Ethereum positions at prices of $3600–4000 and currently has no plans to return to the market.

Among new projects, he highlighted Hyperliquid (#HYPE) as the main growth story of the current cycle. Sun also noted that concerns about the US government debt crisis are exaggerated. Debt can be refinanced indefinitely provided there are buyers, which are ensured by the country's technological and military dominance.

In the technology sector, TRON is already testing post-quantum cryptography to protect its infrastructure.

Justin Sun considers the most promising area to be the integration of AI into real life, especially in healthcare. According to him, understanding how artificial intelligence works is the most valuable and scarce skill of modern times.

He admitted that he lacks knowledge in the field of AI. Jokingly, he compared the value of the technology to love, noting a linguistic similarity: the Chinese word "ai" (love) sounds almost identical to the English abbreviation AI.
