Insidious: The Red Door Released Online

The horror film "Insidious: The Red Door" has been released online and became the second highest-grossing movie in the entire franchise, trailing only the fifth installment.

The plot revolves around young mother Elise, who suddenly discovers her ability to enter the astral plane. One day, she goes too far and accidentally opens a path for inhabitants of this dimension into our real world.

Audience reaction to the film was mixed. Viewers praised the creators for the atmosphere and some scary scenes, but noted the predictability of jump scares and that the overall lack of fear factor makes it less effective as a horror genre entry.
