Hyperliquid Founder Jeff Yang Hires Security
Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yang: from modesty to security
Jeff Yang, founder of the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid, previously stated his love for a simple lifestyle. He prefers not to flaunt his wealth and wears identical t-shirts and shorts without any signs of ostentatious luxury.
Image change and appearance of security guards
However, lately he has been seen surrounded by a large entourage of bodyguards. Such footage was captured at the TOKEN2049 event in Singapore, as well as at a separate Hyperliquid event.
The decision to hire permanent security was made after an incident where an unknown person followed him into the elevator of his apartment building. After this case, the entrepreneur changed his residence to ensure safety.
Team structure and developer anonymity
Hyperliquid was built by a team of about 11 people that generated over $900 million in profit in 2025. The founder is the only public face of the core project, while other key members work under pseudonyms.
