FLUX 3 Image: New Model for Image Generation and Editing — 4

Black Forest Labs Releases FLUX 3 Image with Native 4K

Black Forest Labs has unveiled the FLUX 3 Image model, combining image generation and editing functions within a single interface.

New Release

  • Bounding boxes: object annotation for relocating, removing, or replacing specific elements within the composition.
  • Pixel-perfect editing: precise adjustments to image areas while preserving the rest of the frame.
  • Native 4K: direct rendering up to 16 megapixels without requiring post-generation upscaling.
  • Up to 10 references: support for multiple reference images simultaneously with context awareness.

The model employs Grounding by default, enabling it to search for current context online before generating content. No separate mode selection is required—one endpoint handles both creation and edits.

Pricing

  1. 768 x 768: $0.041 per image.
  2. 1K: $0.048 (promotional price of $0.024 available temporarily).
  3. 2K: $0.100.
  4. 4K: $0.607.

Commercial weights are already available for self-deployment on your own infrastructure. Open weights will be released in the coming weeks; licensing details and VRAM requirements are currently being finalized.

You can test the capabilities via the BFL Playground/API or the OpenArt platform.
