Open-Source Video Editor FilmCraft in Rust with Automation Support

FilmCraft is an open-source video editor written entirely in Rust. The project is a clean implementation of Adobe Premiere Pro.

The software supports non-linear editing using familiar panels and workspaces. It offers tools for three-point and multi-camera editing, color grading, adding effects and titles, as well as audio mixing.

FilmCraft provides export to popular formats, including H.264 MP4, Apple ProRes 422 HQ, and Motion JPEG. To exchange projects with other editors, it supports Final Cut Pro 7 XML, FCPXML, OpenTimelineIO, CMX 3600 EDL, AAF, and OMF 2.0 formats.

The program's architecture is designed with agent integration and process automation in mind. Every interface element and action is accessible via commands with unique identifiers.

This allows remote control of FilmCraft using the command line (CLI), JSON control, or an MCP server.
