Figure melts down old robots at Finnish plant

Figure recycled its old robots at a foundry in Finland to cut disassembly costs. The process evoked scenes from "Terminator 2," where Arnold Schwarzenegger watched the disposal.

The idea to melt down the old F.02 models came directly from the actor himself. Now, the new F.03 series will replace the destroyed robots.

Previously, dismantling old robots was too expensive for the company. Instead, they were sent for metal recycling.
