Ethereum Staking Volume Hits All-Time High

Record Ethereum Staking Volume: Market Data and Analysis

Ethereum staking volume hit an all-time high, reaching 43.8 million coins worth approximately $107.2 billion. This figure reflects growing investor confidence in the network and active institutional participation in securing the blockchain.

Participation Dynamics

According to Bitwise's Q4 2026 report, by the end of Q3, 35.9% of the total ETH supply was staked. In the first nine months of 2026, net inflows totaled 7.96 million tokens, a 6.1x increase compared to the same period last year.

BitMine made a significant contribution to this growth, increasing its staked ETH holdings from 410,000 to 5.07 million coins. Such massive liquidity inflow indicates a shift by major capital players toward long-term asset holding strategies.

Impact on Yields

Against the backdrop of record-breaking locked volume growth, annual staking yields dropped from 2.81% to 2.63%. This is a natural market correction driven by increased supply of liquid staking assets and supply-demand balance within the protocol.
