Crypto HeadlineszkAPI Launch for Anonymous Payments in Ethereum
The Ethereum Foundation and the Open Anonymity Project have launched zkAPI on the Ethereum mainnet. The technology allows payment for AI inference and other APIs via ETH, USDC, and assets while preserving anonymity.
The mechanism uses ZK proofs to decouple the payment from the request itself. Users receive a temporary API key with a spending limit, ensuring that the provider cannot see the payer's wallet address.
Expansion of the technology beyond artificial intelligence is planned. The infrastructure will be used for RPC, image and video generation, VPN services, as well as payments between AI agents.
The project launch opens new opportunities for private computing and decentralized services based on the Ethereum blockchain.
