Compromised Ledger Wallets Found in European Market

Compromised Ledger hardware wallets equipped with spy implants have been discovered in Europe. User Johannes reported finding the devices in MediaMarkt stores.

Suspicion arose regarding shipments from European distributor Aqipa GmbH. The networks MediaMarkt and Saturn, comprising over a thousand stores across eleven countries, are at risk.

One infected wallet was sent to Mark Karpeles, while the second is destined for Ledger's forensic analysis. Previously, the manufacturer had only confirmed compromise cases via Asian seller CryptoBilis.

The user demands the immediate withdrawal of potentially dangerous devices from retail sale. The company has not yet commented on the new reports from Europe.
