Claude blocks VPN users

The Claude service has begun blocking users who use VPN connections. In Russia, dozens of people, including developers and top IT company managers, have already been affected by these restrictions.

Affected users receive notifications about "suspicious signals" and lose access to their accounts, the Claude Code tool, and chat history.

Precise location detection

According to user complaints, Anthropic has learned to detect a user's true location even when connected via a virtual private network. A similar situation is occurring in Hong Kong, where some users had bypassed regional restrictions for months but are now also losing access to the service.
