CBR Issues First Cryptocurrency Licenses to T-Bank

The Central Bank of Russia has issued the first licenses for operating in the regulated cryptocurrency market. The decisions were made regarding companies within the "T-Technologies" group, which is affiliated with T-Bank.

The licensing process was swift: documents were reviewed just one day after the applications were submitted. This marked the first step toward legalizing crypto instruments for a major financial player.

Key Changes to the CBR Registries

• The company "Atomize" has been included in the state registry of digital depositories.
• "T-Invest Lab" has received the status of a crypto exchange and has been added to the corresponding registry.

Receiving these permits opens up opportunities for T-Bank to test cryptocurrency services. The platform will be able to launch new products for clients as part of pilot projects before fully entering the market.
