The History of Bitcoin's Growth from $13 to $80,000

13 years ago, the media discussed the reasons for BTC's rise to $140.

In 2013, Bitcoin experienced sharp fluctuations. At the beginning of the year, it was worth about $13, on April 10 it surged to $266, and then crashed to $50.

The year is also remembered for other events: in early October, US authorities arrested the creator of Silk Road, a marketplace where drugs could be bought with Bitcoin.

At that time, few could imagine that 13 years later BTC would trade at the $80,000 level.
