The Central Bank of Russia has updated the "Financial Market Participants" section on its official website, adding information about legal cryptocurrency intermediaries. Users can now find details about both exchange services and digital depositories.

The licensing process began on October 5, when the first companies submitted applications for permits. The following day, some reported successful registration. Existing financial market participants are subject to a simplified licensing procedure.

The Role of Self-Regulatory Organizations in the Crypto Industry

The Bank of Russia portal also allows checking the status of self-regulatory organizations (SROs) in the financial market sector. All legal crypto exchanges must be members of a specialized SRO, providing an additional level of control and transparency for clients.
