Argentina to Launch Golden Passport Program in 2026
The Argentine government has introduced a citizenship-by-investment program, which will be the first comprehensive "golden passport" scheme in South America. Applications for participation will begin to be accepted in Q4 2026.
Program Conditions
- Non-refundable state contribution of $350,000
- Investment in a special government bond worth $800,000
Additional contributions are required for family members: spouses – $100,000, children under 18 – $25,000 each, and children aged 18–25 – $100,000 each. A family consisting of two adults and two minor children would pay $500,000.
Residency in Argentina is not a mandatory requirement. Citizenship is granted after verifying the origin of funds, biography, and the applicant's reliability. The program allows holding dual citizenship.
The Argentine passport provides visa-free access to approximately 168 countries worldwide.
